A Small, New Center in Columbiana, Alabama

Cedar Oaks Learning Center opened in 2025 at 300 Highway 47 S in Columbiana, Alabama. It is a single licensed center with room for 26 children.

The center runs a full-time, year-round program Monday through Friday, 6:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., and serves infants through school-age children up to 12.

Play-Based Learning, Focused on the Whole Child

Cedar Oaks builds its day around play, exploration, and hands-on experiences, with the view that young children learn best through meaningful relationships with the adults and peers around them. Teachers plan around each child’s interests, strengths, and developmental needs instead of a fixed script, and the program covers social, emotional, physical, cognitive, and creative development.

The stated goal is for children to build confidence and independence, get comfortable asking questions and solving problems, and leave with a lasting interest in learning.

Ages served: Infants through 12 years.
